2018 IQMS Pinnacle User Conference, November 12-15, 2018, Aria Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada

September 11, 2018 By admin

IQMS, a leading manufacturing ERP software and manufacturing execution system (MES) authority, today announced two guest keynote speakers for the 2018 IQMS Pinnacle User Conference. Together, they will provide attendees with insights into creating a culture of innovation and excellence while building high-performance, trusting teams to thrive in today’s dynamic, global market. The keynote sessions include:

The Mars Project: How Design & Innovation Got Us There: Dr. Steven Squyres is the James A. Weeks Professor of Physical Sciences at Cornell University and the acclaimed principal investigator for the science payload on the Mars Exploration Rover Project.
Never Fly Solo! The Power of Partnership to Reach New Heights in Business and Life: Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Waldo Waldman is a Hall of Fame Speaker, decorated fighter pilot, and author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, Never Fly Solo.
IQMS’ Pinnacle user conference runs November 12-15, 2018, at Aria Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event brings together manufacturing executives, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and MES technical experts, and industry thought leaders in 60 sessions examining manufacturing technology and business best practices, as well as how to get the most out of IQMS software.

“Our manufacturing customers’ success in growing their business and profitability is based not only on how efficiently they implement their ERP solutions but also how effectively they build organizations that can excel at meeting customers’ demands for exceptional quality and service,” said Gary Nemmers, president and CEO of IQMS. “At Pinnacle 2018, we are thrilled to complement our popular IQMS software training sessions with keynote speeches by thought leaders in building teams that foster innovation, excellence and collaboration. Through them, our attendees will gain valuable insights into building businesses that attract and retain customers and employees in an increasingly competitive market.”

The Mars Project: How Design & Innovation Got Us There

In January 2004, twin robotic explorers named Spirit and Opportunity landed on Mars. Expected to last for 90 days, the two rovers have now been exploring the Martian surface for more than six years. The development of Spirit and Opportunity required a team of more than 4,000 highly motivated engineers and scientists who overcame a host of technical challenges, which were multiplied by an extraordinarily tight schedule literally driven by the alignment of the planets. In this keynote session, Dr. Steven Squyres discusses Spirit and Opportunity’s initial conception through development, along with the design process that led to such extraordinary performance, launch, landing, and six years of exploration on Mars.

Never Fly Solo! The Power of Partnership to Reach New Heights in Business and Life

Manufacturing employees may feel like they are flying solo. However, they have support staff, co-workers and managers, as well as a network of suppliers, vendors and distributors on which they can rely. In today’s super-charged, highly competitive world of rapid and constant change, those who understand this and can build trust and work as a team will create a winning and sustainable business. In this keynote session, Lt. Col. Waldo Waldman will share insights into how to employ loyal “wingmen” to promote communication, integrity and trust; develop a collaborative culture of excellence and mutual support; and execute a safe operational game plan to survive, grow and win when the stakes are high.
