AWE EU 2024: Leading XR and AI Innovations Take Center Stage on October 29-30, 2024 in Vienna

October 29, 2024 By admin

The Augmented World Expo (AWE) EU 2024 is set to convene the foremost pioneers in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (XR) at the Austria Center Vienna on October 29 and 30. More than 120 exhibiting companies, including industry giants like Meta, Siemens, Audi, and Unity, will showcase cutting-edge innovations in spatial computing, AI integration, immersive gaming, and industrial safety applications. This year’s expo will emphasize the social impact of XR technology and its transformative role in efficiency, safety, and user experience across diverse sectors.

Attendees can look forward to a robust lineup of over 125 XR experts, including leaders from Meta, Google, Siemens, and the European Space Agency (ESA). Notable speakers such as Amone Gbedemah from Meta Reality Labs and Wolfgang Bergmann of the Belvedere Museum Vienna will deliver keynotes, sparking discussion on immersive technologies’ potential to revolutionize daily life and work. The expo will explore topics ranging from XR’s role in training for high-risk jobs, immersive design, to pressing issues of data privacy and ethics in the XR ecosystem.

A key highlight of AWE EU 2024 will be the presentation of the Best in Show Auggie Awards on October 30, celebrating groundbreaking achievements in the XR field. Eight start-ups have been selected as finalists, including two Austrian companies, magicARpet and City Games, who will compete for the ‘Start-up to Watch’ accolade. Their innovative projects, spanning immersive education, mental health, and interactive city exploration, highlight the diverse potential of XR technologies to transform industries and everyday experiences.

Tickets for the event are available starting from €249, offering an opportunity to witness the future of XR unfold in real-time. Press accreditation is also available for journalists interested in covering this milestone event in the world of augmented and virtual reality. For more information, visit AWE EU 2024.
