JDA ICON, the Intelligent Supply Chain Conference, May 7-10, 2019, Dallas, Texas

February 7, 2019 By admin

JDA Software, Inc., today unveils preliminary details for JDA ICON – the Intelligent Supply Chain Conference, which will take place May 7-10, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Formerly called FOCUS, JDA’s annual global customer conference, ICON takes the best of FOCUS – the leading conference for savvy supply chain and retail executives and up-levels it with an infusion of innovation to help customers digitally transform their business and increase competitiveness and positively impact the bottom line.

With an ever-changing environment constantly buzzing with tech terms from AI, to ML, to IoT and more – JDA ICON is customers’ one-stop for all they need to understand how these technologies work and fit into their digital supply chain strategies. With an emphasis on AI in the event logo, future JDA ICON events will focus on the intelligence JDA is embedding into existing and new solutions. JDA CEO Girish Rishi shares more on what’s behind the name change in this video, watch here.

“With JDA’s acquisition of Blue Yonder accelerating the infusion of AI and ML across every aspect of our retail and supply chain solutions, it became the perfect opportunity to evolve JDA FOCUS into JDA ICON, better aligning with that strategy,” said Kevin Iaquinto, chief marketing officer, JDA. “This year’s customer conference will reflect our evolution as a leader in AI and ML solutions, while we show our customers and partners how to reimagine their strategies and harness the power of the intelligent edge to deliver more predictive and automated supply chains. With a powerful lineup of keynotes already, this is the one must-attend industry event of the year!”

JDA ICON Keynotes – from Thrill Seekers to Technologists and More
JDA ICON will highlight three fantastic customer keynote speakers which include Johan Martinsson, Global IT Digital Operations Lead at Electrolux, Alejandro Sanchez-Aldana, Supply Chain Planning Director at Coca-Cola FEMSA, and Tyler Carter, Vice President of Technology at Starbucks. These customer presentations will touch on topics ranging from implementing dynamic retail workforce solutions, to end-to-end supply chain transformations to leveraging the latest in digital control capabilities to achieve full visibility across the supply chain and predict and prescribe automated business decisions.

In addition, Erik Weihenmayer, the only blind person to ever scale the 7 tallest summits in the world will share his amazing story. One of the most sought-after speakers in the world, Erik is an accomplished climber, paraglider, skier, and kayaker with a “no barriers” attitude and passion for pursuing an exhilarating and fulfilling life. These keynote speakers will be joined by JDA CEO Girish Rishi, Chief Development Officer Desikan Madhavanur and Blue Yonder founder Dr. Michael Feindt who will discuss JDA’s customer-centric initiatives, product roadmaps and JDA’s moonshot toward the Autonomous Supply ChainTM.

JDA Also Launches its Inaugural Developers Conference – DEVCON
For the first time, JDA will host its first-ever developers conference one day before ICON begins, on May 6, 2019. JDA DEVCON will give developers, engineers and coders an opportunity to learn about JDA’s APIs and applications in a one-day immersive conference experience.

Ryan Lowdermilk, Product Technical Specialist with Microsoft, will be one of DEVCON’s featured speakers. He will discuss key considerations for JDA partners and customers using JDA (and Azure) as a development platform. Ryan has led some of the industry’s top brands in planning, designing and building cloud solutions powered by the Microsoft Cloud.
