MIT Technology Review’s premier event, EmTech MIT, will return to the MIT campus on September 30-October 1, 2024

July 9, 2024 By admin

MIT Technology Review’s premier event, EmTech MIT, will return to the MIT campus on September 30-October 1, 2024. This annual gathering invites technology leaders to explore the profound impact of emerging technology trends and innovations on society, the economy, and the environment.

For over two decades, EmTech MIT has been a hub for visionaries creating, funding, and implementing groundbreaking ideas. The event fosters fearless discussions and delves into complex questions, often revealing the headlines of tomorrow. Notable past events include Professor Geoffrey Hinton’s first live interview after his resignation from Google, where he highlighted the threats posed by AI at EmTech Digital 2023, and Dr. Caroline Apovian’s insights on revolutionary pharmaceutical treatments affecting cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity at EmTech MIT 2023. Recently, Sir Nick Clegg of Meta discussed misinformation during a historic global election year at EmTech Digital 2024.

Esteemed speakers from previous EmTech MIT events include Marc Benioff, Chair, CEO, and Cofounder of Salesforce; Dalton Caldwell, Managing Director, Investments and Group Partner at Y Combinator; Mark Chen, Head of Frontiers Research at OpenAI; Raia Hadsell, Senior Director of Research and Robotics at DeepMind; Frank McCourt, CEO of McCourt Global; Marc Raibert, Chairman of Boston Dynamics; Megan Smith, Former US CTO and CEO and Founder of shift7; and Astro Teller, CEO of X.

The 2024 event will focus on breakthroughs in AI, climate tech, and computing, illustrated through case studies from leading organizations and frontline innovators. Anchored by MIT Technology Review’s award-winning editorial team and supported by MIT’s technological expertise, attendees can expect exclusive keynotes, thought-provoking interviews, and interactive Q&A sessions. The event offers unparalleled networking opportunities with industry leaders, along with access to on-demand videos, speaker materials, and additional online networking options.

Registration for EmTech MIT 2024 is now open, with the full agenda and speaker lineup to be announced in August. To secure your spot and join this pivotal event, visit EmTechMIT.com.
