Extreme Networks “Connect” User Conference Returns to Nashville June 6-9, 2022

Industry Experts to Discuss Topics such as the Intersection of 5G and Wi-Fi, Extracting and Leveraging Insights from your Network and Securing Network Infrastructure

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 17, 2022 – Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR), a leader in cloud networking solutions, today announced that its annual user conference, Extreme Connect, will be held in-person at the Omni Nashville Hotel from June 6-9. 2022. There will also be a live virtual broadcast taking place on June 7, as well as on-demand virtual content available to all attendees. Conference attendees will gain insights into Extreme’s roadmap, hear from keynote speakers, including Extreme executives and US Olympic Gold Medalist Lindsey Vonn, and attend onsite training and breakout sessions.

Extreme Connect will feature 25 unique sessions and presentations, including: an inside look at Extreme’s expanding cloud portfolio, future generations of Wi-Fi, Universal wireless solutions, and how Wi-Fi and 5G will work together in the enterprise, among other topics. Outside of the exhibit hall, onsite attendees can participate in popular Birds of a Feather industry sessions.

Breakout sessions and workshops will cover various key industry topics, including:

The Billion-Dollar Enterprises: How Professional Sports Organizations are Leading the Way on New Tech Trends
This discussion will focus on how tech leaders across professional sports leagues are adopting new technology to improve both business operations and consumer experiences, and how that can approach can apply to all enterprises in an era of constant disruption. Panelists will include John Martin, VP media and event technology at NASCAR; Aaron Amendolia, VP information technology services at the NFL; and Chris Kemmerer, director, intelligent network and 5G wireless at Verizon.
Wi-Fi 7 and Future Generations of Enterprise Wi-Fi
The future of Wi-Fi for the foreseeable future is the 6 GHz spectrum, which is now available in many countries through Wi-Fi 6E. Wi-Fi 7 is the next future generation of Wi-Fi that builds upon the foundational 6 GHz superhighway. In this session, David Coleman, director of wireless networking in the Office of the CTO at Extreme, will provide an assessment and technical preview of potential Wi-Fi 7 enhancements, including multi-link operation (MLO) and 4K QAM modulation.
Securing Your Infinite Enterprise Architecture
As networks evolve and enterprises embrace the cloud, change introduces the opportunity for threat actors to exploit new vulnerabilities. In this session, learn how Extreme’s layered security approach can help your organization protect the network, users and data. Session attendees will learn more about the extensive threat prevention and mitigation capabilities that Extreme can deliver across wired, wireless, SD-WAN and unified fabric.
Wi-Fi and 5G: Can’t We All Just Get Along?
In this session, Extreme experts will share their perspective on the future of enterprise wireless and how the evolution of connectivity will unfold. Attendees will be taken beyond the 5G myths and hype with a rational analysis of the technical and business realities that enterprises should consider when it comes to Wi-Fi and 5G.
The Consultant’s Perspective: The Secrets of a Successful IT Project
Attendees will hear from a panel of independent IT consultants who will share their insights and experience on successful IT projects. Topics of discussion will include structuring contracts, setting expectations, vendor selection and the changing shape of RFPs.
