The Advanced Imaging Society today announced key speakers participating at this year’s “On The Lot” conference being held December 12-14th in Los Angeles

Marvel Studio’s Victoria Alonso Joins Grammy’s Evan Greene and Sony’s Glenn Gainor for Keynote Conversations at the Annual AIS “On The Lot” Conference

The annual gathering of creative and technology leaders has grown and expanded to take place in three locations over three days. Paramount Studios in Hollywood will host the conference on December 12th, The Microsoft Metastage at Culver Studios will host conference attendees on December 13th, and the new Google Offices in Playa Vista will host the conference on Friday on Dec 14th.

“This is a remarkable and growing annual tradition where content creators meet technology leaders to exchange information, forge partnerships, and take measure the impact of the market forces at work in 2019,” said society president Jim Chabin. “In light of the technical transformation and disruption taking place in every area of content creation, this year’s conference promises to be especially valuable,” he added.

Conference headliners include Victoria Alonso, EVP, Production at Marvel Studios; Buzz Hays, Global Lead, Entertainment Industry, Google Cloud; Chris Milk, CEO, Within; Evan Greene, CMO for the Grammys; Glenn Gainor who serves as President of Innovation Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment; Chistina Heller, CEO, Microsoft Metastage; Michael Zink, VP Digital Technology at Warner Bros. and chair of the UHD Alliance; Christina Lee Storm, VP of Business Operations and Emerging Technology for DreamWorks Animation Studios; Halsey Minor, Co-Founder of CNET; Jonathan Miranda, Director of Strategy, Technology at Salesforce, Michael Scogin, VP, Strategic Partnerships for NBC Entertainment Digital; David Ward, CTO and Chief Architect for Cisco; and Prudence Fenton, Cinematic Reality Producer at Magic Leap. Rick Champagne, who leads AI and machine learning for media and entertainment, will demonstrate use cases for AI and upconverting studio libraries and creating new content from data.

More than 50 speakers will address changes in content creation, workflows, and emerging digital streaming services and formats, which are likely to become reality in 2019.

To empower attendees to better navigate the workforce needs of the year ahead, the conference this year will introduce sessions with insights and perspectives on managing creative careers. Senior Entertainment partner for the Executive Search firm Korn-Ferry, Bill Simon, will join Kathy Mandato, the former head of HR for NBC Entertainment and Snap for a seminar entitled “Hollywood Help Wanted: Where the Jobs Will Be In 2020.”

To prepare attendees to maximize their success during a tumultuous year ahead, the conference features more than 30 sessions covering everything from “creating in the cloud” to the “next generation of cinema.”

Director Jannicke Mikkelsen, who works for the British Band Queen, will attend from London and explore making the film “VR The Champions,” with Adam Lambert. The new film based on Queen’s formative years, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” has now grossed more than 500 million dollars at the worldwide box office.

Tickets are available at www.onthelot2018.com. The Society’s Annual Technology and Distinguished Leadership Awards will be held December 13th at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. The organization’s annual Lumiere Awards for best motion picture, TV, VR, AR and XR content will be presented January 30th.
