DataFest 2018 London: The Annual Agile Data Management & Analytics User Conference, 21st November 2018, London

November 5, 2018 By admin

Denodo, the leader in data virtualization, announces its 3rd annual user conference, Denodo DataFest, which will be held in London on 21st November. Today, companies are rapidly adopting cloud, self-service BI, and big data technologies, such as data lakes, to gain greater agility and scalability while enhancing analytic capabilities. However, achieving these goals is not always straightforward. At DataFest, attendees will learn strategies on how to leverage data virtualization to enable highly flexible, agile, and powerful BI architectures that are facilitating the journey to advanced data management and analytics.

“Denodo’s DataFest is a great conference for organizations looking to learn about modern ways to integrate their data and modernize their core operational and analytical systems to improve agility and lower total cost of ownership,” said Mike Ferguson, Independent Analyst and Managing Director at Intelligent Business Strategies, and speaker at this year’s event. “With this year’s focus on Cloud initiatives, attendees will get insights on the challenges they may encounter in a hybrid computing environment and how data virtualization can help overcome them.”

An immersive, one day conference, Denodo DataFest brings together some of the brightest minds in data to share expertise and insights on the future of data management and analytics. It offers an end-to-end learning experience, starting from foundational concepts and demos, and continuing through “ask the experts” sessions and hands-on lab, where business leaders, data professionals, and business analysts learn about the latest technologies, trends, and tools that are changing the data landscape.

Sessions will feature actionable insights from analysts and some of the top minds in enterprise data architecture, including speakers from Forrester, Tableau, Wipro as well independent analysts Mike Ferguson and Rick van der Lans. Attendees will also hear real world insights from Landsbankinn, GetSmarter and Get who will share how they leveraged data virtualization to enable enhanced analytics and agility.

“Big data has given rise to data lakes and many other use cases, but companies still need ways to unify the data in real time, or they end up with additional data silos,” said Ravi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer at Denodo. “The same is true for companies leveraging cloud or implementing self-service BI. DataFest 2018 focuses squarely on how to achieve a smooth journey to cloud, self-service BI, and data lakes, using data virtualization. We are excited to bring together our customers, partners, and Denodo executives to talk about how data virtualization can bring out the maximum benefits from today and tomorrow’s technologies.”
