Alfresco Software, a leading enterprise open source provider of process automation, content management, and information governance software, today announced its Government Summit event in Washington, D.C., on May 22. The one-day event will explore how to get content under control, phasing out paper and modernizing records management and applications as part of an agency’s digital transformation strategy.
Alfresco co-founder and CTO John Newton and Vice President of Product Marketing Chris Wiborg, will share Alfresco’s vision for leveraging the power of open source and cloud technologies to accelerate the flow of business and announce updates to the Alfresco Digital Business Platform.
“One of the highlights of the year is when we bring together attendees from government and industry to discuss our mutual challenges and solutions to them,” said Tony Franzonello, Alfresco’s regional vice president of sales. “What is consistent year to year is the focus on finding the best digital tools to accelerate time to value for digital transformation and build more quickly.”
This year’s event will also feature government and industry leaders discussing topics related to content, process and information governance services that impact successful digital transformation and improve government business, as well as networking opportunities and customer panels with representatives from Amazon Web Services (AWS), the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the General Services Administration (GSA), and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
Sessions will include:
Customer panels on Digital Transformation of Government Business and Modernizing Records Management
Breakout sessions on Updating your Agency’s Digital Strategy and Application Modernization – The Next Generation of Solution Development
Blockchain discussion – featuring panelists from the GSA and AWS
Customer presentation by the Environmental Protection Agency
“We’re looking forward to a full day of learning with some fun networking sessions included,” added Franzonello. “There is a jam-packed agenda with representatives across the spectrum of government and industry who have seen digital business challenges up close and have great insights into how to overcome them. Getting the cloud and content under control is complicated, but I’m confident that our speakers and sessions will give every attendee the information and tools they need to walk away with actionable insights.”
