Technology Innovators Gather to Define the Future of Computing at IEEE Rebooting Computing Week

Four events provide technology stakeholders and industry leaders with opportunities to collaborate and broaden knowledge of future computing technologies

IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity, gathers innovators in industry, academia, and government for the upcoming IEEE Rebooting Computing Week to be held 5-9 November 2018 in Tysons, VA, USA. This week of events will address future computing technologies including approximate computing, biological computing, brain-inspired computing, quantum computing, quantum machine learning, and more.

WHAT: IEEE Rebooting Computing Week brings together trailblazers in hardware, software, low energy, and high performance to discuss what the next era of computing holds. Renowned subject matter experts from AMD, DARPA, D-Wave Systems, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM Research, and Intel Corporation, will share their insights on future computing technologies. IEEE Rebooting Computing Week events including:

The International Roadmap for Devices and Systems (IRDS) Meeting
The 2018 IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC)
The IEEE Industry Summit on the Future of Computing
Workshop on Benchmarking Quantum Computational Devices and Systems
WHEN & WHERE: 5-9 November 2018, at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in Tysons, VA, USA

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Early adopters, innovators, technologists, leaders in industry, academia, and government, as well as students and those interested in learning more about the future of computing are encouraged to attend.

WHY ATTEND: The computing industry is at a crossroads with advancements in quantum computing, neuromorphic computing, cryogenic CMOS, superconducting computing and other technologies. IEEE Rebooting Computing Week offers those interested in helping to define the future of computing a place to discuss the future of computing with industry experts and collaborate with other forward-looking leaders in the computing industry. As Isaac Newton was once reported to have said in 1676: “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” IEEE Rebooting Computing Week offers attendees another such opportunity in 2018.
