The BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition, September 9-13 2018, San Antonio, TX

August 14, 2018 By admin

BICSI, the global association leading the advancement of the information and communications technology (ICT) community, is pleased to announce global futurist Jack Uldrich as the Opening Keynote Speaker for the 2018 Fall Conference & Exhibition, to be held in San Antonio, TX on September 9-13.

Uldrich is a world-renowned speaker on technology, change management and leadership. He will pull from his experiences as a former naval intelligence officer, Defense Department official and Director of the Minnesota Office of Strategic and Long-Range Planning to demonstrate how organizations can gain the crucial foresight needed to create a successful future.

He has addressed Fortune 100 corporations, venture capital firms, associations, non-profit organizations, and state and regional governments on five continents. He is also an ongoing contributor on emerging technologies and future trends for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Wired Magazine and BusinessWeek, and makes regular appearances on the Science Channel, the Discovery Channel, CNN, CNBC and National Public Radio.

During his presentation, Uldrich will share the transformational principles of unlearning, or freeing yourself from obsolete knowledge and assumptions—a useful strategy to employ to survive and thrive in an era of unparalleled knowledge. He argues that creativity and action are more powerful and versatile that knowledge.

The BICSI Fall Conference hosts a myriad of technical-based conference sessions; an expansive Exhibit Hall featuring the industry’s leading technology and services providers, and special presentations in the BICSI Theater on new and emerging technologies. Just a few of the conference presentations include:

Envisioning Smart and Safe Cities and Buildings Future: 2020 and Beyond
How Data Centers and Central Offices Co-Exist in the Same Space
Beyond AV Club—Simplifying K-12 AV Applications
Passive Optical LAN—Game Changer: An Integrator’s Perspective
Emerging Technologies for Intelligent Building Systems and Interconnectivity of Codes
“The addition of Jack Uldrich to the Fall Conference speaker lineup will provide a well-rounded presentation experience,” said BICSI President Jeff Beavers, RCDD, OSP, CFHP. “He brings a global business perspective that is invaluable in today’s expanding technology industry. Attendees will be able to walk away from this presentation armed with tools to create positive and profitable change in their lives and businesses.”
