WP Engine Summit/2020 Goes Digital & Registration Is Free, June 10, 2020

April 9, 2020 By admin

WP Engine, the WordPress Digital Experience Platform (DXP), announced registration is open for its signature event, now in its fifth year, Summit/2020. Due to ongoing concerns around Covid-19, WP Engine has reimagined the conference for developers and marketers as a digital event, which will still take place on June 10th.

This year, to educate and inspire WP Engine customers, partners, employees and the overall WordPress community, Summit/2020 will be a virtual event, featuring engaging content and dynamic expert speakers with a mix of live-streamed and on-demand content, including sessions followed by online networking opportunities. Keynoting Summit 2020 will be Robert Herjavec—founder & CEO of cybersecurity firm Herjavec Group and a leading investor on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank. Robert will talk about what has inspired his personal and professional breakthrough moments.

Registration for the new, virtual format is free.

“In an era of continuous change, the digital landscape shifts daily. Right now, the ability to shift quickly is paramount for all of us,” said Mary Ellen Dugan, Chief Marketing Officer at WP Engine. “Digital is in our DNA and we are leveraging this strength to offer our inspiring and immersive digital-first breakthrough conference virtually for the first time to audiences all around the world.”

Featured Keynote Speaker Robert Herjavec

Escaping communist Eastern Europe to come to America at a young age, Robert Herjavec went from working multiple service jobs to running one of the world’s largest privately-held cybersecurity firms and being an internationally-recognized entrepreneur on ABC’s Emmy-winning show, Shark Tank. He will share his personal story of resilience against the odds and ways to apply insights he gained during his journey toward the unique challenges we face in 2020.

Keynotes and Breakout Sessions

Summit/2020 will also feature executives from WP Engine together with agency luminaries on the following topics:

Heather Brunner, CEO and Chairwoman of WP Engine, will discuss current market trends as the world leans into digital, and the unprecedented breakthrough opportunity for DX creators to serve the masses and help businesses of all sizes to press ahead
Jason Cohen, Founder and CTO of WP Engine, will share where WordPress is headed next as well as WP Engine’s platform vision and latest innovations
Mary Ellen Dugan, CMO of WP Engine, will moderate a panel featuring industry thought leaders from some of the most innovative agencies in the world, discussing how developers and creative technologists are using digital to help clients sustain growth and reinforce customer connections during this time of crisis
The event will also include several breakout sessions with tracks for agency and brand growth with WordPress as well as product-centric tracks on topics like accelerated page building, eCommerce, headless, local development and site migrations to deliver breakthrough digital experiences on WordPress.
