AWS re:Invent runs November 30 to December 4 in Las Vegas, spread across venues on the Strip. Recent editions have drawn about 60,000 people, and it remains the cloud industry’s biggest week.
AWS uses re:Invent to launch the products it will sell for the next year. Expect new custom chips, AI infrastructure for training and inference, agent frameworks, database and storage updates, and a stream of developer tools. The CEO keynote sets the tone, and the specialist keynotes often hold the bigger news for builders.
With thousands of breakout sessions, workshops and hands-on labs, a good part of re:Invent is just training. A lot of engineers go to learn, not to watch announcements.
For anyone building on AWS, or competing with it, re:Invent is the week that sets the cloud agenda for 2027.
