The Economist Events will bring together the world’s leading minds in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to discuss the opportunities created by these technologies for business, as well as their implications on society at large on March 22, 2018 in Chicago. Featuring an audience of Fortune 500 CEOs, policymakers, academics and disruptive entrepreneurs, the event will be held at The Westin Chicago River North.
In 2017, adoption of AI technologies grew over 60 percent (Outlook on Artificial Intelligence in the Enterprise 2018). As businesses scale their innovation strategy by investing in these technologies, Economist Events will analyze where AI is poised to make the biggest impact and identify how it will undermine existing business models. Speakers will also address how AI and machine learning will impact today’s human workforce and explore novel ways of collaborating with machines.
“It is an exciting time for artificial intelligence and machine learning as startups and established firms alike develop new ways to apply these technologies to everyday business,” said Vijay Vaitheeswaran, United States business editor, The Economist. “We look forward to the insightful discussions and robust debates to take place at the Innovation Summit, which will point the way for forward-looking firms looking to embrace these technologies.”
