Slush takes over Messukeskus in Helsinki on November 18 and 19, with founder workshops on November 17. It’s run by a non-profit, staffed largely by student volunteers, and in a dark Finnish November it has become the most important founder and investor event in Europe.
Slush’s pitch is density. It claims the highest investor-to-founder ratio of any startup event, and it matchmakes more than 20,000 meetings across the two days. Founders come with a meeting schedule, not a hope. The Slush 100 pitch competition runs alongside.
The 2026 theme is Radical Resilience, with deep tech pushed to the front: defense, energy, quantum, hard science companies with long timelines. Around the main event, Slush Week adds more than 600 side events across the city.
If you’re a European founder raising from serious funds, Slush is the week to be in Helsinki. Bring a warm coat.
