Status Summit is set for October 7, bringing together brand leaders from Ulta Beauty, Google, and Liquid Death to talk about how AI is changing the way people find and choose brands. A venue has not been announced yet, though ticket registration for the one-day event is already open.
The summit focuses on brand discovery at a moment when search, social platforms, and AI assistants are all competing to be the first stop for consumers looking for a product. That shift has forced marketing teams to rethink strategies built around traditional search engine optimization, since a growing share of product research now happens inside AI chat interfaces that summarize and recommend rather than return a list of links to click through.
The panel lineup pairs three very different vantage points on that shift. Ulta Beauty and Google have already worked together publicly on Gemini-powered shopping tools built to streamline how customers discover and buy beauty products, giving that pairing a retailer’s and a platform’s perspective on the same problem. Liquid Death, meanwhile, has built its entire brand identity around cutting through marketing noise with unconventional, attention-grabbing campaigns, offering a challenger brand’s view of discovery that has little to do with algorithmic optimization at all.
Organizers are expected to confirm the venue closer to the date. The summit’s single-day format and tightly curated speaker list have made it a smaller, more focused alternative to the larger marketing conferences that run multi-day tracks across dozens of topics at once.
